Arbucci\n Kristen Fyfe \n \n Description In our second meeting on the Social Media Theme\, we are looking at the latest research in the field of social media and corporate learning and how one company is considering applying social media as part of its learning strategy.\n\n Explore:\n Kristen Fyfe\, Communications manager at ASTD\, will discussing the research findings from ASTD National of how corporations are incorporating social media into their learning and development. She will be providing information on what is working and not working in the field.  Robert P. Arbucci from Colgate Palmolive Co. will be presenting his company’s initial 2015 strategy and its goals. We will be having a discussion regarding his issues and challenges\, and approaches to integrate social media into this strategy and its potential.\n Event Pre-Reading: Bridging the Skills Gap 2010\n\n Speakers: Robert P. Arbucci (Bob) is the Director\, Global Learning and Development Strategy\, Systems and Effectiveness for the Colgate Palmolive Company. Among his responsibilities is the development and implementation of Colgate's Learning 2015 Strategy\, one that encompasses a work force of 36\,000 employees. Bob has a total of 30 years of experience in Training and Development \, including positions with Hoffman La Roche and Mobil Oil.. He holds a doctorate in Leadership for the Improvement of Curriculum and Instruction\,\n from Teachers College\, Columbia University.\n Kristen Fyfe is the manager of communications for national ASTD. In that role she oversees both external and internal communications and helps drive ASTD's social media strategy. Kristen spearheaded ASTD's roll-out of internal social technologies to increase employee learning and cross-functional collaboration. She is a veteran communicator with experience in print and broadcast journalism\, advertising\, and corporate communications. Kristen holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University.\n  \n Admission\nNon-members may audit one meeting and then will be required to join to continue attending.\n \n Virtual attendance is welcome.
